Job description
Due to our continuing development, strategic priorities focusing on the future aspirations of GWS, we are looking for a Lean Specialist who has a passion for Lean principles and methodologies and supporting our site, project management and operational teams. You will join our Dutch Business unit in Duiven or our one of our UK offices (Lowestoft /Hull), and become part of our global Centre of Excellence, Operations Team.
The position focuses on driving continuous improvement, operational excellence and cost efficiency, providing guidance to our Sales and Project teams and integrating Lean thinking into planning, execution and project lifecycle management. By championing Lean behaviours, facilitating Kaizen events, and promoting data-driven decision-making, the Lean Specialist ensures best practices are adopted throughout the organization.
Reporting to the Head of Lean@Site, and acting as a key resource for Lean expertise, you will join a dedicated team focused on standardising processes, enhancing productivity, and fostering a culture of ongoing improvement.
Job requirements
Role responsibilities;
Facilitate Kaizen events and Lean workshops to drive continuous improvement.
Coach site teams on Lean routines, standard work, and visual management.
Integrate Lean planning and technical guidance into project meetings and sales processes.
Support Sales with Lean insights for cost-efficient budgeting and risk reviews.
Identify and manage technical risks and dependencies in projects.
Oversee documentation management and process standardization.
Capture and integrate lessons learned into project planning and GWS processes.
Drive digitalization initiatives, including hours tracking and time registration.
Advocate for Lean adoption and provide feedback to the Centre of Excellence.
Use data analytics to improve operational and productivity outcomes.
Promote a continuous improvement culture across all GWS sites and teams.
Job requirements:
Senior level of experience in Site Management or Project Management
Technical Experience in Offshore Preassembly Projects
Bachelor level in Site and/or Construction Management (or equivalent experience)
Lean Certified (or equivalent experience)
Contractual and commercial understanding
Understanding or experience in Project Management
English, fluent proficiency verbal and written
Strong leadership skills
Analytical, solution focused and self driven mindset
Ability to collaborate, influence and engage with Stakeholders at all levels of the organisation
Focus on developing and responding to change
Ability to travel (75-100 days)
